Nicole began her career as a bus operator in 2008, gaining firsthand experience and an understanding of the transit workforce. Her dedication and natural leadership skills led to her appointment as Director of the TWU-NYCT Childcare Fund in 2016, where she plays an important role in supporting the families of those who keep New York City moving.
In addition to her role as Director, she serves as a shop steward, advocating for fellow union members, and served as co-chair of the Working Women’s Committee, where she champions fairness, inclusion, and opportunity across the workforce. Her leadership is grounded in experience and a genuine commitment to uplifting others.
Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her grandsons and traveling, bringing the same sense of care and curiosity to her personal life as she does to her professional endeavors.
I have been a valued member of the CCF team since 2006 and bring years of experience and dedication to my role. In my free time, I enjoy reading and listening to reggae music.
I am a Program Coordinator of the Childcare Fund. My expertise includes the Newborn Stipend Voucher Program. In addition, I prepare the Childcare Fund to participate in TWU Local 100 events such as Mass Membership, Lobby Day and Family Day. Once a week, I do a presentation for the newly hired MTA employees educating them on their child care benefits. What I find most rewarding about my job is working in a positive environment with my colleagues, striving together as a team, to able to help many Local 100 members and their families.
With over 15 years of dedicated service, I have been a valued CCF employee providing consistent and reliable support to TWU Local 100 members. My extensive experience and deep understanding of MTA/NYCT employees’ needs have made me a trusted resource and an integral member of the team. I recognize that our members require compassion and empathy while working in an environment that can often be demanding and harsh. In this regard, my ability to serve as a reliable and understanding resource for services makes me an invaluable member of the CCF team. My resourcefulness and wealth of knowledge ensure that members receive the assistance they need efficiently and without unnecessary delays.
LaTonya Crisp serves as the Outreach Coordinator for the Child Care Fund. With over 27 years of experience at the MTA New York City Transit Authority, she specializes in employee engagement and is dedicated to increasing awareness of available childcare programs among TWU Local 100 members, helping them select the best options for their families. A strong presence at worksites, LaTonya draws on her experience as a former Union Officer and Fund Trustee to encourage members to take full advantage of the benefits secured through their collective bargaining agreement. LaTonya is inspired daily by her son, who shares uplifting affirmations, and by her dog, Bronze, whose unconditional love keeps her grounded.
